Pumpkin Measurement
We practiced our measuring skills while having fun with pumpkins! First we estimated weight, size (how tall and how far around), and amount of seeds. Then we figured out the actual measurements. Comparing our estimates and actual measurements was a great way to think about subtraction. We even learned how to use calculators to solve tricky subtraction problems.

Red Oak Field Trip on October 16
2-1 will be traveling to Red Oak Park for morning insect activities with Sarah Subbert. Be sure to dress appropriately for outdoor exploring! Parents, contact Mrs. Kruse if you would like to come along as a chaperone.
